Day 1255 Slept for a little while longer

I am curious to see how this translates to a good workout. I need to leave to go to work at 1145am. It is now 845am....

From 914 am to 1014 am I burned 1462 calories and stretched and went home. I gave it my all and then some. My pace was so awesome that I felt amazing. I beat yesterday's total in an hour by 63 calories. Which is more than a calorie burn per minute. I was totally focused from the get go. Now its off to work for the fourteenth consecutive day.

In sixty minutes I burned 1462 calories
o assisted chin ups
o crunches
o floor crunches
zero minutes of plank

Day 1254 Having just completed a very physical week

Now, we start the weekend with its short game plan. My last day off from work was the Sunday before last. On Day 1241. On that day I took a ride to Mickey Spillane's for a dry run for August 4TH. Well, its been thirteen days since I have been off. I still have not come up with a rant that I am as psyched about as the one I did to get in the contest.

I have not been able to clear my thoughts because I have been working everyday. I tried yesterday at lunch but I could not focus. I took an hour off at lunch just to write something.
I realized how I needed my computer to come up with anything on the NY Giants.

It is now exactly 132 hours from 6 pm on August 4TH. I will think of something but it needs to be strong and fine tuned. I am considering a few options. I keep coming up with the Yanks and Giants.

This past week I have had awesome workouts where I have burned more calories and felt great during and after.

Lets bust it today and see what we got!

I'd say---- I busted it!

62 assisted chin ups
1370 crunches
420 floor crunches
eight minutes of plank

I did better today in all five areas and yesterday was an awesome workout. Today, we will call it spectacular! I look at this way I had it so I spent it, or should I say, invested it-

Day 1253 We set a record today, I think

I am not sure if I have ever burn 1370 before 6 am. Either way, I felt awesome and I am feeling stronger.

In sixty minutes I burned 1370 calories
60 assisted chin ups
1150 crunches
300 floor crunches
seven minutes of plank

My body just feels like it needs to workout more. I have been very active lately and these last few days have been evidence of my vitality.
I need some time to develop an awesome rant for Thursday!

Day 1252 What an awesome workout!

I felt better and better as the workout went on. I hate to admit but because of a time crunch I had to shorten my effort or else today was one of those days where I could have worked out for hours! I know I could have done more crunches. I definitely could have stayed on the arc trainer a lot longer.

In sixty minutes I burned 1363 calories
45 assisted chin ups
1450 crunches
330 floor crunches
seven minutes of plank

WOW! What feeling,what a sight, to see # 12 in green and white. Its go, go, go, go no one can throw, like Broadway Joe!- I just had to say that.

Now its on to Day 1253- Bring it on!

Day 1251 There is a certain coolness in the air

Sounds strange but here we are in the middle of the dog days of summer and I'm saying that there is a coolness in the air. I have decided to post my workouts in this fashion for now.

  1. In sixty minutes I burned 1312 calories
  2. 40 assisted chin ups
  3. 750 crunches
  4. 365 floor crunches
  5. seven minutes of plank
As I look at these five, I realize that I have not done these every one of the 1251 straight days.
The constant is the # 1. That is the workout where I sweat the most and work the hardest. Numbers 2 through 5, I have gone with or without for several periods of time.

Day 1252 the weather has cooled off a little let's see how long this continues.

Day 1250- Yey, we are making strides towards 1300 days

It is a beautiful morning as you can feel the humidity lift.I felt extra strong today as I pushed through on all my exercises.
  1. In sixty minutes I burned 1339 calories
  2. 60 assisted chin ups
  3. 1150 crunches
  4. 260 floor crunches
  5. six minutes of plank
That is a strong all around workout. I am psyched and I feel good as I sit here rehydrating myself. As we get closer to August 4TH my thoughts are moving towards a demand for a Giant return of Tiki.

Thus far I have had one dissension as I have sounded the call for the Gmen to bring Mr Barber back.

Day 1251 is the next step towards 1300.

Day 1249 A day of strong resilency

A we catch a break from the heat wave. I decided to pull in a little on the chin ups and crunches to see how long I could go on the plank. I burned 1334 on eight hours and a half of rest. Heck that very close to really doing two workouts a day! I did 20 assisted chin ups and 200 crunches with 150 floor crunches and did 6 minutes of plank! I felt great and loose.

I watched some video of the semi finals for the Fantasy Phenom from Stout in Manhattan. I can envision myself as a contestant and blowing away the judges and the audience. The rants by and large were well done. The questions were good and the answers for the most part were dead on.

I am psyched for my chance on August 4TH @ Mickey Spillane's.

Day 1248- We arise around the time we usually do on Sunday

As I shake the sleep off, I head to the gym. Yesterday, was a full day. Today, we offer a slightly different schedule as we head to work around 1230 pm. Monday, is generally a good challenge because the rest between workouts is usually between 1030 am to 445 am a less than 20 hour break.

I have been doing it awhile so my body is relatively used to it.Now the focus is to get going and attack with vigor.....

I love it! I almost burn 1400 in the hour. I take 1394, thank you. As we did 55 assisted chin ups, 1230 crunches and 150 floor crunches and a 3 minute plank.

Consider this, a policeman's job is to serve and protect. Question; Who do you serve and protect? It is worth thinking about because when you follow up that question with why, you discover a lot about yourself?

Day 1247 We zero in on 1250 days

It is now just about six am on the 178 TH Saturday of this amazing run. The heat has really been high the last two days have been 93 and 100 degrees. It has indeed been a blast. For some reason I have had a bigger appetite than usual. I find that a bit strange. It could be because I have increased my activity during my workout.

Well here goes .......

I guess after an awesome night of cool rest and satisfying sleep.... I blasted out and burned 1383 calories in the hour. Did 50 assisted chin ups then, did 1220 crunches along with 260 floor crunches and finished my abdominal muscle workout by doing a 5 minute plank!

I felt and feel awesome!

Today should by the last day of the heat wave-- HOORAY

Day 1248 is in the offing.

Day 1246 The second day of the tropical heat wave

Man, it is hot out there! I burned 1331 in one hour then did 47 assisted chin ups and 1100 crunches plus 140 floor crunches and 3 minutes of plank. After a tough rest( it was so hot) I woke up despite not hearing the wake up call.

We keep slugging and blast through this heat wave.

Day 1245 I feel a lot more loose!

Since I have opted to go with one layer instead of three. I feel much more loose in this heat while I am working out. I still sweated a real lot and I just kept on going!. Today, I burned 1 less calorie in sixty(1353) than yesterday. One less. I did give it everything to hit that number. I did 45 assisted chin ups. I did 1030 crunches plus 120 floor crunches and a 5 minute plank.

It was awesome. Even though the temperature was 75 degrees at 445 am. Of course the gym is climate controlled and a lot more comfortable.

The semifinals start tonight @ Stout at 133 west 33rd street in Manhattan.

Day 1244 As we brace for the tropical heat wave

I decide on wearing on one layer of clothing instead of three today as a result I felt looser and able to workout harder. I just felt that if I shed the heavier clothing I would burn a lot more calories and I was right.

I burn 1354 calories in the hour and did 40 assisted chin ups along with 1200 elevated plus 150 floor crunches and a 5 minute plank.

I felt awesome and I am braced for the three to four day heat wave. Yikes!

With countdown underway we are counting the hours until August 4Th at 6 pm. Sixteen days which is exactly. We are three hundred and ninety six hours away. The contestants have been set in the regions. Here we go!

Today, after a 845 pm bed time we did 1318 calorie burn in sixty minutes, 35 assisted chin ups, 910 crunches ( 100 on floor) 3 minute plank. It is weird yesterday I woke up at 342 am and began my day. By the time I went to sleep at 845 pm I had been awake for seventeen hours. That the equivalent of a person waking up at 7am and going to sleep at 2 in the am. Then getting up and repeating the process all week. Most people cannot do that and workout and stay on their feet and work a physically challenging job. Along with eating fruits vegetables and whole grains.


Day 1244 as we scope in on 1250. I am ready!

Day 1242- Well I beat the 410 wake up call

Ah, the sweet sound of the marimba I did not hear at 410. Instead, I quietly rose from my sleep and headed out the door at 415am .....


Got on the machine at 423 am burned 1340 calories in the hour and did 33 assisted chin ups with 1520 crunches( 380 were done on the floor) and did, 1 1/2 min of plank. If I am going to improve on my plank times I need to do it in short sleeves.

Its been awhile since I hit the machine that early.

Day 1241 A day to reflect

It has indeed been a whirlwind ever since I realized I was a top 23 online contestant. Having been selected as a possible winner of a contest has been breath taking. I am not sure if the remaining contestant feel the same way. I am sure some wonder what is going on. However, I sense the individual that can garner the enthusiasm and show his or her raw emotions and do it in a coordinate effort to show understanding of the subject will ultimately win.

If, I was a person that needed to decide who I would want to listen to, I would choose enthusiasm, passion and understanding in that order. I want to be entertained and informed. The keys to learning are rooted in quickly getting the student's attention. Once you have the students attention you need to allow the student to easily absorb the information.

Today we challenge ourselves to increase on yesterday's performance 1366+,26+, 1080+, 330+ and 3 minutes plus. With extra rest who knows..........


Burned 1361 in sixty,31 assisted chin ups, 1450 crunches(350 floor) 1 minute and thirty seconds on the plank. Awesome and sweet.

Now we do a dry run to Mickey Spillane's in Eastchester, NY!

Day 1240 I need to make myself my own public relations person

I always thought that bringing attention to myself was a failing characteristic about a person's personality. However, now as I get deeper into this contest I feel it is part of winning the contest. As we approach the big day which is August 4Th I need to step up a self awareness of myself. I feel the more attention I get from this moment forward the better chance I have of advancing in the contest.

There is no place for being overly humble here. I need to want to be heard, because I am trying to become a radio personality. Someone who has something people want and need to hear in the world of sports. I need to establish this attitude in my mind in order to portray a person who fits the part I am auditioning to play.

This a great chance to delve deeper into my conscience and allow people to see my passion for sports. Heck, its been there all along I mind as well show it to all!

Today, we go for Day 1240 with a gleam in the eye!

Fabulous workout! Burned 1366 in the hour most since Day 1226( I knew I wanted to beat that number)did 23 assisted chin ups and 1390 crunches(320 on floor) with a 2 minute plank

Today, I burned 1344 calories per hour in an awesome workout which included 21 assisted chin ups,910 crunches,310 floor crunches( 1220 total crunches) and 3 minutes of plank.

Day 1238 Congratulations on being selected as a semi-finalist in the WFAN Fantasy Phenom Challenge Year 2.

What sweeter words can one read? It was on day 1237 when I received word, while sitting in a coffee shop reading my email on my ipod touch. Now, I need to speak to the promotion director about......with details for your round 2 appearance.

Its all very exciting and very interesting. So my anticipation is high.

Today's workout was awesome. Despite a good amount of hard work yesterday and an awesome work, I was able to burn more calories in the hour than I did yesterday. Yep ,today I burned 1339 calories in addition to 20 assisted chin ups,1070 crunches, 270 floor crunches and 2 1/2 minutes of plank. I even got to the machine earlier than yesterday.

We are building on momentum -Day 1239 is right around the bend!

Day 1237 Awesome morning the humidity BROKE!

Burned and worked out like a champ. Flowed to a burn of 1334 in sixty. Did 40 assisted chin ups 1050 crunches 240 floor crunches 2 min plank. Felt awesome and was pumped by the weather.

I want tomorrow to be stronger and I am focused on making that a reality.

We will usually achieve what we set our mind to.

Day 1236 As we wait in anticipation

I can hear the final jeopardy music. Today, I burned 1323 in the hour on this hot and steamy morning where at 450 am it 78 degrees. Did 35 assisted chin ups and 510 crunches with 210 floor crunches and 3 minutes in the plank. The forecasted weather is for cooling showers later in the day and early evening. However, prior to that it will high in the triple h's.

Day 1237 brings us closer to1300 days. I will be ready! This day was the day where I did my 1250TH 60 minute cardiovascular workout in the last 1236 days! The reason? On fourteen d ays of those days on did do two sixty minute workout without a break in between.

When you have the enthusiasm and the passion, you end up figuring how to excel.


So true. It is a little easier when your body is not in constant motion the day before, to do a great workout from 449 am to 620am the day after. As burned and felt good 1338 calories an hour and did 31 chin ups and 1000 crunches with 200 floor crunches and a tough 2 minute plank.

Now I wait to hear, see or whatever for the word on the next step towards the Fantasy Phenom. It is indeed murky, as I set the sights on Day 1236.

Day 1234 A great workout!

Day 1,2,3,4 can you believe it??
Be it, a special day. Easy to remember.

My energy is totally restored I burned 1362 in the hour then 31 chin ups throw in 1130 crunches with a good heap of floor crunches . I did 170 all total, and I did 3 minutes of plank. It felt like old times. That circuit training is dynamite!

I gave everything I had to earn my way to round two, and the field of ten in the WFAN Fantasy Phenom - Who knows the site says I am in but, no official word as yet.

Day 1235 we stride gallantly towards the next.

Day 1231 While the humidity goes up and the air gets heavier

We keep going. I wonder if I could do this streak if there was no air conditioning? Think about it no air conditioning in the gym. I believe I could and the reason I say that is, I workout with three layers of clothing on. I wear my riding shorts, a long sleeve shirt, a short sleeve shirt(heavy) and a sweat shirt with a hood. I suppose if it was another 10 degrees warmer and I shed those layers down to a light t-shirt I could do it.

Today, hopefully will end this humid spell.Tomorrow is fore casted to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler. We will see.

Today, I woke up without the aid of the friendly marimba. Got to the machine at 503 and burned 13330 calories. Thus, shattering yesterday's total calorie burn per hour of 1307. My legs felt very fresh. I did 21 chin ups and passed on the crunches.

Day 1232 we look for ward to leaving the great state of Arkansas.

Day 1230 To reach the milestone of four years we need...

In order the reach the fourth year we need to go another 230 days. We are eighty four percent of the way there. If we were on a car ride from NYC to Dallas, Texas. We would be right around Little Rock, Arkansas. We still have got a good fifth of the distance to go. Any way I am psyched and I do still feel strong and determined.

I once read its not so much the goal being attained it is the person that is attained through the achievement of the goal.

Went ahead and burned 1307 per with 20 assisted chin ups and 810 elevated crunches and 140 floor crunches with 1 minute of plank- WHEW!

Day 1231-We continue are drive through Arkansas in our quest for Texas.

Day 1229 Considering this day's challenge

As the alarm went off on this fine July morning the temperature was right around 70 degrees. I ambled out to the car and got on the machine at 449 am. I finished my intense hour on the Cybex arc trainer machine by burning 1310 calories. I did 15 assisted chin up and 670 crunches after that I did 120 floor crunches on the precise equipment. I finished my workout circuit by doing the plank for one minutes and forty five seconds.

I felt awesome during and after the workout. I really enjoy the circuit CCAS. One thing I have been doing after the workout to help me recover from the workout is to take in a lot of fruit and seltzer mixed with orange juice with calcium. In the book living health it was said that the best nourishment we can give our brain is to start the day by feeding ourselves fruit.

Feed your head the good book said! Fruit I believe does just that and not only just that

Day 1228 Well here it is, a day off, it isn't

While some unwind from a day of picnic and barbeque's my day starts here at 430 am. As I arise early to get my pre work workout in. The gym opens with a weekend schedule. The doors open at 7am and close at 1 pm. The 1 pm hour is of none of my concern as I begin a normal work week at 9 am. Racing the clock a little, I look forward to be done with the workout and be on my way on time for the work's week to begin.

Day 1127 Well here it is, a day off

Rolled out of bed at 748.Ha, giving me a solid seven hours of rest. I have the gleam in my eye to do two.Its has not been since who knows when I did two in one day. It is now 815 am I will see what I got. If I do two I will not be done until 11 am -- Let's see.

Did not do do but I went the circuit! Did cardiovascular( 1359 calorie burn per hour), 13 chin ups, 610 crunches, 100 floor crunches, a minute and half of plank and stretched. That felt so good that I almost did it twice. Hmmm maybe another set of clothes and I can do it twice.

I did not beat yesterday's 60 minute calorie burn ( I missed by a 1359 to 1366 margin).

I felt awesome and have coined a new acronym CCAS and it stands for cardio, chin up, crunch and stretch.

Day 1228 July fourth at the daily toil gym doors open later then off to the shop! The juice will flow in this circuit.

As this whole posting deal starts to look like War and Peace or some long playing show on Broadway, I must focus on today. Today, I hereby challenge myself to beat yesterday. That is a great challenge.

The challenge was met and then some! We blasted out 1366 calories in the hour and then did the ole circuit---- chin ups, crunches, floor crunches, plank, stretch and punch then, GO!

We are a bona fide machine!

Day 1225 I challenged myself to beat yesterday one more time and I fell short

There is a challenge, to out performing the day before. It is probably one of the biggest motivating factors I use to drive myself from day to day. I constantly ask how can I improve on yesterday's totals? Recently, I have decided to take a break from doing crunches. I wanted to see if it would improve on the number of calories I burn per hour.

I feel that any boredom is quickly erased when I engage in this activity. I think boredom is a feeling of repetition of doing something over and over. The key word here is repetition. I am not doing the same exact thing. Now, the reason why I say that is everyday I bring a different supply of tools to the table. I am not always the same person in mind body and spirit.

Today, I fell short by one calorie burned. I burned 1341 calories an hour.

Day 1226 we charge ahead determined to re crack 135o!
