Day 1831 Marching towards our 61ST consecutive month

Some days I cannot help but charge on the machine and my work out feels effortless as I burn calories at a rapid pace. Then there are other days where I work harder just to burn an acceptable amount of calories. No matter the challenge is laid in front of each of us everyday we either chose to accept the challenge and take it head on or we refuse it and decide not to workout. I certainly enjoy the choice every day and I pray for the strength and wish to excel at the challenge.

Today I felt great while doing the workout and even better at the completion of it.

Day 1828 FIVE YEARS!

How sweet it is! Today, was a bounce back day as yesterday was a good challenge to get moving. However, last night unfortunately the sports talk radio show that I co host was forced to be canceled due to technical difficulties.

The good thing was it enabled me to sleep for a good amount of time before going to the gym. My body responded as I burned 2304 calories in the hour and scooted around the circuit and felt tremendous.

Day 1827 It is official, this streak started on Saturday February 23, 2008.

This is perfect I am about as sore as I have been in months.As I head for the tape.I need to start early tomorrow after a late ending. It is only right that the five years comes with a big price. I am so---ooo psyched. Bring it on!

Day 1826 Wow! I am pumped!

Yesterday, I was given an inordinate amount of work to do which I did in 8 and half hours with only a short half hour "lunch" break where I went out and got gas and food.

I worked very hard at the daily toil some 10 hours ago then, 
I put on four layers of clothing and burned 2249 calories in the hour and I felt great as I hustled around the circuit.

Day 1824 Like painted kites, those day nights they went flying by!

The scramble for the keys ensued and only to discover some had them in their pocket. However, The hour was a good time as we got to and on  the machine in good time as we burned 2326 calories .

Day 1823 We are down to Monday- Saturday to reach 5 years.

I felt awesome today, we burned 2300 + calories in the hour for the fifth consecutive day (day 1819- 1823). I am getting back into a flow. Thank you, God. And Praise Jesus!

Day 1822 Do we do our last double for our five year stretch?

It would have been nice but, I over slept. I slept for the first time on our new mattress. It felt comfy. I went down at 11pm exhausted and woke up refreshed at 755 am. I got on the machine at 9:22 am I got off after burning 2368 calories at 10:22 am. I felt awesome as I was psyched to have exceeded the highest calorie burn in a few days. I went right to church immediately after the workout. I weighed in at 189.0.

Today, I am planning on shopping and doing some work on the radio show. Heck it is my day off.

Day 1821 One week to 5 YEARS!

I answereed the bell at 525 am after going done at 1230 am. Got on the machine at 652.

Had to plan for work so no double today.

Burned 2304 in sixty as I bundled up witha thermal, turtle neck sweat shirt and a pull over hooded sweat shirt. I decide to wear the hood and battled as hard as I could.

Yeesterday's daily toil included a steady diet of shovel snow. As in order to prevent a roof collapse hole were cut into the plastic roof and the snow on the roof was dumped underneath the roof and had to be removed.

Enter me to do the process of moving the snow from under neath th roof and place it in the sunshine. A good workout is what I got to say the least. Followed up that day with a few hours of doing a sports talk radio show and then quick break prior to sleep.

Day 1820 The Lord has indeed blessed me.

Yesterday's daily toil was one for the books but, it only reminds me of how good of shape I am in.After a hard day I got up a 410 am and went to the gym and beat yesterday's total

Day 1818 Wow! Awesome number.

Felt a little more spry and a little more chipper this morning as I completed a great hour of calorie burning. My number was 2297 almost hit 2300. Bummer! Did a quick thorough circuit. Weighed in at 189.3.

Today is the beginning of Lent. I decided to give up peanuts.No peanuts until Sunday March 31ST.A full 45 days. I feel great and confident I can achieve this task.

Day 1817 We are working towards five years.

We resumed normal activities at around 10 pm last night te street plow showed up and clear a path down  our street. When I wake up the driveway was clear thanks to efforts of my sons. However, by the time I was leaving the house the plow gave it another swipe and it was turn to clear the snow. The plow hit at 430 I shoveled and got on beloved machine after a three day hiatus at 510 am. My entire workout for the morning was completed by 630 am.

I burned 2250 in the hour and weighed in at 191.6 disgusting! It was great to sweat!

Day 1818 Wow! Awesome number.

Day 1816 Another day in the igloo?

This is really getting to be a challenge by not being able to do my thing. I rode the life cycle from 505 to 645am to keep the streak alive. However, the intensity and the lift was not the same. Did a lot of physical activity yesterday but it was still a lot less than I usually do.Does not seem to be much in the way of progress in clearing the street so we can get out of here. However, nothing is usually as good as it seems nor is it as bad as it seems.

The Day looks the same. I will make the best of it maybe a podcast?
I thought I heard something other than the freezing rain that is now falling.

You would think with all this instant contact we have someone who knows where all the vehicles are right now can just tell us whats happening and what the plans are?
The challenge is simple, where are they and where are the going to be next? Is that too much to ask?

Day 1815 Do we dig out and get the gym?

Never say never but I wasn't waiting to find out before I did my workout. Which I did from 530 to 630am. In the hour I did the same as yesterday, an hour on the life cycle wearing 2 1/2 pound ankle weights while I swung 3 pound weights in each hand. Then I shoveled snow for a half hour in 1 below temp.No wind though.

There has been no plow sightings or sounds since the blizzard hit. My street is still buried under 3 feet of snow. The plan is to do a good really hard cardio.

I was a around for Larry in 78, the area was paralyzed for about a week.

Day 1814 How much snow? I will do a workout. I am scheduled to work all day.

How much snow did we get? Thirty eight inches!That is about three feet of snow. That equals no work. No gym. No going anywhere but out in the driveway and shoveling about 4 hours to dig ourselves half way out. Only halfway as the snow had drifts as high as six feet. Today was a very windy day and cold.
Now, here is a question do we classify shoveling a lot of snow as an activity or an exercise? Technically, that is a cardiovascular workout.Right? After doing it I was not really tired from shoveling, I was freezing more than anything else.

I dragged the life cycle out of the garage and put in in the family room and rode it while wearing 2 1/2 pound ankle weights and while swinging 3 pound weights in each hand. I did that for one hour.

No home circuit. Weight 190.0.

Day 1813 The snow fell, without a break?

As I am posting the snow has been falling for a 10 minutes. I have been up since 410 it is now 803. I wondering if leaving for work is such a grand idea. The forecast is for a Nor easter and the heavy stuff is predicted for later. The accumulations are between 1 to 2 feet of snow. I am scheduled from 9am to 6pm.I need to leave pretty soon to get there because of the conditions.

Well those are the facts I am facing.

Day1810 We are almost at the top of the beanstalk!

I am learning how to understand human nature better. I workout every day. I spend a lot of my time mediating or thinking about positive thoughts. I fortified with my belief in Jesus Christ as my savior. I wish to be Christlike I challenge myself physically and mentally and spiritually everyday. I really wish to be an example and a motivation to any one that wants to improve themselves. I post this blog everyday in effort to help people realize and improve on their potential. The daily questions I ask for highly determined people are intended to feed the mind with good thoughts for all to read and ponder.

My efforts at my daily toil reflect what is in my heart and mind. I have put myself in the line question because I like to speak in front of people. When I speak in front of people I consider it a privilege and an honor. I believe that speaking in front of people to most is no easy thing. Most to my knowledge have no interest and are quite frankly are very challenged by the task of speaking to people in a group. It is for this reason why when I get my chance to speak I want to let people know what is in my heart.

I feel my message is good and I sincerely wish to motivate anyone that wants to be motivate to improve themselves.

I do believe that in my mind their is always room for improvement. I also believe that there is no person that cannot get better at what they want to do. In life most people will not admit that they need to improve. In life most people have a very hard time with being told or being asked to improve. It is a strong defense mechanism that first denies then revolts and attacks anyone that suggests that they are not living their dream.

That is fine. I know most will reject me and my message when I try to offer any encouragement. Jesus said it best when he said, what profit is without honor in his native town?

Day 1809 Back to a schedule we established long ago.

After watching the Super Bowl I went down at 1130 got up at 410 then was on the machine at 438. I usually stagger around and turn on the computer and warm up the car.However today I just started moving. I think it is because on Mondays for about half a year I got up at 3 am and was out by 4, so my wiring was all set for that Monday action.

My action was active as while wear heavy sweat pants and three heavy layers I burned 2262 calories in an hour.

Day 1808 I am psyched to challenge!

I went easier on myself today. I wore shorts instead of heavy sweat pants. Regardless, I did a double and I burned 4436 calories in 120 minutes. I felt stronger at the end and felt fresher as I skipped the pull ups and went hard on the crunches and plank exercises.
When you do the math I average a double every 22 days. I am not sure when I did my first double.

Day 1807 JUST SHOW UP AND FIGHT! JSUAF

I sure did today. I am not sure what it is about me I just have to challenge myself. Today, I put heavy sweat pants on a tee shirt a freaking turtle neck sweat shirt and a pull over hooded sweat shirt. I was amazed how much a challenge it was to do the do an hour much less a two hour workout. I must say that the clothes I slipped out of after I burned 4384 calories in 120 minutes were so heavy. I was clearly worn down. However, it felt so incredible so relaxing to complete the challenge. I knew I was in the middle of a great battle. But, I won! I would not and  did quit! I felt and feel great.

Day 1806 Happy February, my math was a little off, 5 years is Day 1829.

Woke up without a hint of reluctance and had a great workout. While wearing ankle weights( 2 1/2 pounds on each ankle) I burned 2303 calories in sixty minutes. My circuit was the strongest since the new gym opened.
