Hi Bryan, not sure what your availibility status is right now. I am sure with the fall students coming in and the pending move of the the studio your attention span for my desire to communicate this urgent message to you must be a little low. As I have left two voice mail messages today and am forwarding this information to make every attempt to solve this situation.

As of now the company Kroll (the people conducting the back ground checks) have not submitted a background check on me because according Human Rource person Tracy Crowley @ U of New Haven I was sent an email explaining my request to allow a back ground check to be conducted. Tracy said today that the Company Kroll never received my response. As I stated you a few weeks ago that I have yet  to receive any email asking for anything from Kroll. Tracy also stated that the email to her knowledge was sent by Kroll on August 4 , 2014. Bryan, I have combed through my spam and in box and saw nothing from Kroll or anyone else referring to a background check.

Tracy said she will not request another request to be sent to me until she hears from you to request another request. I hope this message is clear as to the actions we to take.
background check information

9/8/2014
Bryan, how are you?
Three things
One-Thanks again for having the Kroll pepople resend the background info. I just spoke with them and they informed me that the check is to be completed by the 11th. I believe that is 9/11.They will then send the information UNH.
Based on my understanding of your email that I read that was posted in the studio do we need to set up a face to face meeting to go over the results of the check?
Two- There is a problem with putting outside calls on the board in the studio. It has been going on for a few weeks. Both last Friday when Kenny Albert of Fox Sports tried to call and this past Friday when I attempted to put some on board
by me calling them.
Three- can you please look into this? Thank you for all your help.

How do I add offline players to my Office Pool?

To invite players, go to Setup/Invite Players -- available as the option furthest to the left hand side on the Pool’s navigation bar. Once routed this page, scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find "Advanced Features." Among those "Advanced Features" will be "Add Offline Players."

The Add Offline Players link will have a queue labeled “Offline Player Names,” with an open field to add in participants who will NOT have internet access and will be unable to log on to the pool. Once entered in this field, click the “save & continue” button.
Offline players will have to have their picks entered and maintained by players with Pool Manager Access.

If an Offline Player would like to join your pool and participate online directly, the player will have to be sent an invitation under the available options listed on the Setup/Invite Players page. Then with your Pool Manager access, the picks made in a prior week or weeks will have to be re-entered under the new account. Afterwards, the offline player will need to be removed from the pool on the Manage Players page, available on the Advanced Features on the Setup/Invite Players.

Major league baseball is in its last 30 games left in the 162 game season.
College football has begun its season and its 1st season with a playoff format.
The NFL is now less than a week away as Green Bay is at Seattle on Thursday night.
With NFL season comes the Fantasy football season and prior to that is the Fantasy football draft.
The US open Tennis tournament is well under way  as second round action has is about to conclude in Flushing,New York.

I Suppose a good place to start would be with Major league baseball
Where the races for playoff spots are starting to tighten up.
In the American league as in the National League there are 5 spots available they are 3 division championship and 2 wild cards.
This format dictates that the best way to go by far , is to win the division, as the 2 wild card teams decide their season in  one game  as the winner advances while the loser  goes home. This is the third year that the MLB has used this playoff format so far only the Cardinals of 2012 have advanced as far as in the league championship series only to be defeated by the eventual world series champion the San Francisco Giants. The one game play in game is really a roll of the dice as of the 4 games that have been played 2 of the teams had similar ecords and in the other 2 games the tam with the better record has won one and lost one.

In the 17 years 1995-2011 since the playoff were expanded from 2 teams per league to 4 teams per league the wild card team has won the World Series 5 times.

The wild card team has also won the pennant 9 times. In 1997 the Marlins were the first team to win the pennant then the eventually the World Series as the beat they the powerful  Awon the pennant form Atlanta Brave team who had been to the fall classic  5 of the last 7 years. Two years later the New York Mets won the pennant from the wild card spot only to lose to the Yankees as the Yanks took their 4 worlod Series in 5 years.

I workout everyday at the PF in Hamden using the regular workout card, tomorrow because of my work schedule and your shorter holiday hours I will be working out at your gym. Do I need to pay any extra to use your gym tomorrow?

More 2014 NFL over-under win totals released
By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer
July 28, 2014 6:45 pm ET

Many sports bettors apparently are expecting the Bears to perform well this season. (USATSI)

As all 32 teams are now in training camp and as each squad's fan base fantasizes about the playoff run they know their favorite organization can make this year, we now have over-under odds on how many wins everybody can expect.

Here's the list of all 32 teams and their over-under win totals heading into the 2014 season, via Bovada. And if you'd like to do more research, you can check out CBSSports.com's Will Brinson's predictions from May (here are his AFC picks and his NFC picks).

(And for the record, I'd have no idea what to do about the Browns, Lions and Giants. But here's what I can tell you: I'd go under all day on the Texans and I'd go over on the Jaguars).

Arizona Cardinals -- 7.5 under

Hi Peter, John Spinato, here. Following up to let you that I appreciate that you notified me that wish not be included in the weekly announcements about the radio show.I want you to know that your number has been removed from the list.

Also, as a favor to the show can answer just two questions and put them in my voice mail?
As we discussed you are indeed, are wicked busy and I do appreciate anytime you can share with us.Here are the two questions
Which rookie qb do you feel will have the biggest impact on his team this year? Why do you feel the qb you chose will have that impact?

Thank you so much, for your time, and I loved reading MMQB today.

A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah

Seek the Lord while he may be found,
call him while he is near.
Let the scoundrel forsake his way,
and the wicked his thoughts;
let him turn to the Lord for mercy;
To our God , who is generous in forgiving.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

A reading from a letter from Saint Paul to the Phillipians

Brother and sisters, Christ will  be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
For to me  life is Christ, and death is gain.If I go on living in the flesh, that  means fruitful labor for me.And I do not know which I shall choose.I am caught between the two.
I long to depart this life and be with Christ, for that is far better.Yet that I remain in the flesh is more necessary for your benefit.
Only, conduct yourselves in a way worthy of the gospel of  Christ.
The word of The Lord.

A reading from the first book of Kings

At the mountain of the God, Horeb,Elijah came to a cave where he took shelter. Then the LORD said to him, "go outside  and stand on the mountain before the LORD;the LORD will be passing by" A strong and heavy wind was rending the mountains and crushing rocks before the LORD- but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake- but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was fire - but the  LORD was not in the fire. After the fire there was a tiny whispering sound. When he heard this Elijah hid his face in his cloak and went and stood at the entrance of the cave.

just a thought
Could the omission of George Steinbrenner in of Joe Torre's speech hurt Steinbrenner's chances of getting into the Hall of Fame?

Hi Andrew, I do a sports talk show on a college radio station.

A reading from the book from the prophet Isiah
thus says the Lord.
just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down, and will not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to the one who sows and bread to the one who eats, so shall  my word be that goes forth from my mouth, my word will not return to me void, but shall do my will achieving the end for which I sent it. The word of the Lord.

My picture is of the plaque that was put up at the stadium where the 1st 4 minute mile was run. I chose that picture because it symbolizes an achievement many thought was impossible. Once one person proved it could be done 100's of people followed him in breaking the 4 minute mile. The name of the person is not as important as the accomplishment. The feat is a symbol of the power of mankind which is always trying to achieve more. Today marks the 50th anniversary  that a high schooler broke the 4 minute mile.

It is the difficult challenges that we give ourselves, that help make us become mentally strong.

Since on average (in our data) people feel lonely forty-eight days per year, having a couple of extra friends makes you about 10 percent less lonely than other people. Interestingly, the number of family members has no effect at all.”

So many memories of the younger days watching doubleheaders @ YS. One I do recall is when Yankees were playing the Orioles, in the early seventies and they had beaten the O's in game 1 at a time when the Yanks were not really a threat in the American League. However, the Yankees were 90 feet away from a sweep with no outs and the wiininng run on third. Yet the  run did not score and as I recall the Orioles Chico Salmon hit a homer to win the game in extra innnings.

Phil, the NBA Press Conference is at 2 pm est would you like to reschedule our call for another time? good catch. Is wednesday @ 7 pm still good?

Hi Joshua, that sounds awesome. It appears you guys are doing some groundbreaking activity. Your background certainly makes way for a great interview. The show airs on Friday nights from 8 to 10 pm.We have had tremnedous success recording interviews and airing on Friday. However, this week we are full as it is only a 2 hour show.  If we can chat from this time on knowing that we  will broadcast on Friday the 30th or if you would like to appear live we can certainly arrange that. Which of the two would youn  prefer on air or off?

Yeah, thank goodness Pouliot did not get called for a penalty in this game for goaltender interference then we would have a case for the tub of lard that was park in that blue area around the goalie what is that called? You west coast Sterling lovers, don't even know who Punch Imlach is. Go eat your fish tacos and play in the sand on the beach. BTW hockey is played on ice. Were you at the game? Why not? And did  you watch it in between episodes of re runs of  Barry Melrose's Melrose Place.  I will probably be able to hear your cries when the series comes back to The Sterling Center tied at two. Who is the backup goalie for Quick ? Well, you will be needing him soon fish Taco love. Boo hoo.

3 Reasons Why Listening Is the Most Important Part of Acting

3 Reasons Why Listening Is the Most Important Part of Acting
I’ve been in casting rooms over the years where the decision as to who will get the job is in a seemingly unbreakable stalemate based on the reading. Half the room is convinced Actor A is the best choice and the other half feels as strongly about Actor B.

One way I’ve seen the tie broken, is to watch the tape of the two people again and turn the sound down to see who had the more connected listening and brighter reactions. It never failed to be a unanimous decision after that.

More than half your job, if you get it, will be listening and reacting. In the audition, you have to show them that you are up capable of making that half of your job more alive and vital than anyone else.

Here are three ways listening will help you get the job:

1. Listening shows who you really are. If you’ve worked correctly on preparing your piece for the audition, you’ll have an intent that drives you through the piece, personal and evocative relationships and choices that make it clear the unique qualities that you have to offer the role. Great! That will go a long way to making a good impression in the room. But will that alone get you the job? No. Those decisions are all about the words, and let’s face it: Most audition material doesn’t offer you dialogue that by itself will enable you to break away from the pack, no matter how great your choices.

What will ultimately decide the job is how alive you are in your reactions to the other person’s lines. People can make similar choices and sometimes even sound alike, but no one listens like you do. No one’s face lights up in reaction like yours does. It’s these moments of pure unaffected listening that have the potential to break you apart from all the others.

Listening deeply and reacting freshly gives a window into your internal life and while everyone has the same words, no one has the singular light that’s behind your eyes.

2. Listening calms and connects you. When you truly live in a piece, you’re not just jumping from line to line but fully experiencing the feelings of your choices. Listening allows you to live in the piece.

This focus on living in the scene instead of playing the scene calms the mind and creates the space necessary to stay relaxed and on target throughout the piece. Great auditioners have prepared in a way that allows them to let the work go when they’re in the room and gives them the freedom to simply listen and connect to the relationships. Speaking can dilute focus as your brain is managing the thoughts, emotions, and sound of the words. Listening increases focus; it allows your brain to relax and live in the open emotional space of silence. Listening is also what connects you to the reader and all of the other people in the room. A common sight in an audition is the actor who is not able to let his work go and is trying hard to produce moments instead of letting them just be. While there may be a lot happening in the actors mind and while they may really be feeling it, none of it is getting out into the room. In an audition, what you’re feeling pales in comparison to what you make the people in the room feel.

Relaxed, rich listening and honest reacting is the connecter.

3. Listening helps you rule the camera. With so many auditions being put on tape these days, it’s essential that you not just stare into the camera, but use it to your benefit. The moments that are the most compelling and that live the longest in the memory of the audience are the wordless ones. Casting directors, producers, and directors all know this, and if you want the job, you need a technique that gives you the listening/camera skills that allow you to create these job-getting moments in the audition. You draw the viewers’ attention to you when you listen deeply and react genuinely, and that is especially important if the person who has the authority to hire you is not in the room, but watching your audition on an iPad 1000 miles away.

It’s commonly known that listening is a very important component of acting and auditioning. But, I often get the sense that it is still looked at as being less important that what you do when you’re speaking.

For the camera, it’s the opposite. Listening is actually more important, and in an audition, it’s essential to booking the job. So the next time you have an audition remember: The most important lines in the piece aren’t the ones you’re saying, but the ones you’re hearing and reacting to.

Day 36 Day 2212 was one crazy day. As I got so incredibly tired and sleepy. I just could not go on. Could not go on the show as all I wanted to do from 1 pm until 8 am was sleep. Was I sick or just flat out exhausted? I don't know. But for the next few days here I will  get ample sleep. As I slept from 1-2 pm got up went back to work for about 45 minutes then went home slept from 330 to 530 got up ready to go to the studio and BAMM right back down and could not get up UNTIL 8 AM THE NEXT MORNING. A total 15 and half hours of sleep. in 17 hours. Whew!

A thought to ponder on how I start my day 5 days of the week. I get up at least 4 hours b4 I am due in at work.I then, flood my body with endorphins for the first 2 hours of my waking hours. All the while looking at people who are working very hard to either stay in shape or get in shape. I am motivated in my thoughts as I strive to hit my early morning goals.I feel awesome as the high I am on will last me way beyond 7 hours with virtually no crash.I think about the others I run  in to people  in the course of my day that take in caffeine and create a life style that affords a way of starting their day with sugar to make it through the day. The motivation is usually not high and the body is going through the roller coaster ride of stimulants and depressants. I feel blessed that I have been lucky enough to have a life style that helps me feel that way
Since my stomach problem from December I have found myself fearful of eating as healthy as I did prior.Eating too much bread white flour garbage.since Fridays bout. NONE

Got a lot done on my day off.  My first since Since August 31st wow!
9/14/14
A day that began not the way I had planned. I had planned on resting. Because my sleep was disturbed. Then I planned on going to the gym then to church. We'll, instead of going to the gym I needed to walk the dog. After I walked the dog rather than go to the gym I decided to go to church and make the 10:30 am mass. At around 10:29 I was about to turn my car into the church parking lot  then BAM! A car behind me hit my car. I never made it to church. My car's back bumper took a good whack but so far I am okay. I made it the gym and now need to get the car repaired - a strange day off from work!
9/15/14
No work,as I will attend the services of  my sister's husband's father who passed Friday September 12 - I need to decide if I want to keep the IPad so I will go to store and look into the recorder situation.

Dumped the bogus insurance the renta car people wanted me to buy @ 21 dollars a day. Got to the gym @ 518am.
9/18/14
This iPad I am trying out is definitely a step up from the net book but.......
I need to see how it can benefit my show by helping me record and broadcast my recordings. Meditating today was a challenge. Maybe a lunch time meditation may be useful.

9/19/14
The day sets up nicely because I may have time to focus on some key topics of the past 168 hours in the world of sports. Got my car back yesterday. It looks good.

9/20/14
About to hit some milestones here as yesterday a lot fun doing the shown as there were no recordings to play as the announcements on the console we down.

Atlanta Falcons -- 8.5 under

A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah

Seek the Lord while he may be found,
call him while he is near.
Let the scoundrel forsake his way,
and the wicked his thoughts;
let him turn to the Lord for mercy;

9/16/14
