Day 1621 Four days in a row with 2400 plus calories per hour.

Well, the streak was good while it lasted Days 1620,1619,1618 and 1617,

As today after a full day of being on my feet I burned 2364 in an hour and did 50 chin ups and 4 minutes of plank and 330 killers and 450 crunches with 600 q's and 800 floors weight 187. A little high as I had a strong appetite all day. Off to see Doctor to check status on resuming work load.

Day 1619 do we do a double??

It is 1035 am I got up at nine am I walked for the first time for a good portion of the day for the first time since I fractured my big toe.Now, after doing a few things and thinking I am ready to go. The WFAN contest video has to be uploaded and sent by 6pm today!

I am getting ready for the show.

First an awesome cardio workout where I burned 2467 in an hour- WOW- I walked yesterday and I needed the extra rest. I did do 52 chin ups and 4 minutes on the plank. I did really tough killers and I did 200 of those and 450 crunches with 620 q's and 600 floors plus some tougher floors. My weight was  183.

Day 1618 Work or what?

After a workout like that I got to see what I can do while walking around.Heck, I sat on my butt for three straight days! I was able to do the workouts but only until late yesterday afternoon did I try to resume walking.I offered to do some of my normal activities but was told I am on light duty.

I felt great as I burned 2426 calories in an hour.That is the most in over 60 days.That is the highest I have done in sixty minutes since X? Not since April 30Th 2012 on day 1528 I burned 2457 on the other machine in the other room. I did 51 chin ups and 6 minutes of plank and 380 killers while talking to Affie and 510 crunches, with 780 q's with 800 floors I weighed in 183.

Day 1616 That is a really neat number!

Probably the neatest number so far! To honor the number I burned 2399 in the hour and did 54 chin ups and 4 and one half minute of plank,With 380 killers and 510 crunches and 720 q's and 800 floor crunches. Weighed in at 181.

Day 1615 Do we really know whats to happen?

All I know is that I got up at 412 am and got on the machine at 452 am. I was on the machine for 65 minutes and in the 60 minutes where I was not cooling down I burned 2405( from not walking all day before?) calories.That is one of my better runs in awhile. I did 54 chin ups and 4 minutes of plank- Tough to do with fractured big toe. I did 350 killers,470 crunches,710 q's and 800 floors. I weighed in at 180!

Now, I believe I continue on light duty. I think I go back to regular duty when the doctor sees me on Tuesday.

Day 1614 Back to a full work out!

After a day of some serious pain.I got up off the deck and did a 2376 burn in 60 with 50 chin ups and 3 minutes of plank. With 900 floor crunches and 610 q's and 270 killers and 450 crunches. I weighed in at 181.

Yesterday I was hurting as the doc said it is probably a dis placed fracture in my foot.As a kitchen cabinet dropped about five down onto the upper part of my big toe.

I put ice on it all night and took 2 Advil and slept.The alarm went off at 410 and I was on the machine at 440am.

I am supposed to get put into a cast in a few minutes. I feel a lot better..... We will see.

Day 1612 A very good day for a double

I did a nice double, the 55TH, as I burned 4597 calories in 120 minutes. I did 30 chin ups  4 minutes of plank and 220 killers 500 floors 330 crunches and 510 q's. I weighed in at 178. Lowest in awhile. Had a nice chill session getting ready for the show in the am.

The British Open is high on the mind as Ernie Els comes out of almost nowhere to win the Open!

Day 1611 Its gym then work!

It is almost like some strange dream.The other day the heat was so oppressive it was tough to do anything outside. To be exact it was less than seventy two hours ago.Last I went to an outdoor concert wearing shorts and a t -shirt and a hat and froze.I slept with a sheet on and froze. Now, I am awake and ready to workout so I can warm up again.

It is now 622 am....Warmth, who would think I would CRAVE it, on July 21ST?

I probably was not warmed up as much as I needed as I burned 2287 and did 51 chin ups and 10 minutes of plank with 340 killers and 440 crunches I had to cut the work out short as time ran out. I weighed in at 182. I felt great I should have organized my time better.

Day 1610 The weather is forecast to be beautiful!

I just felt so a live this morning. I did a great 2311 then a strong 61 chin up and a huge 14 minute plank four songs! I was soaking wet then I did 370 killers,440 crunches and 610 q's and I couldn't stop doing floor crunches. I guess I did more than 900! I weighed in at 183. Felt strong feel great.Thank God for a rest in the heat and humidity.

When you workout every day you notice the change.

Day 1609 Oh yeah!

I remember many years back when I used to play tackle football and it was a lot of fun.I also remember while playing in the game of tackle when I was running with the ball in my arms and a player would wrap his arms around my legs. Now, if the wrap was high on my legs I could keep moving but, once the arms slid down lower I would lose my balance and be brought down. Well today, I felt like someone had me by the upper part of my legs but I would not allow them to slid down my legs and bring me down. I would break free only to be caught again.

As I burned 2258 in 60 and did 51 chin ups and 8 minutes of plank. I did 340 killers and 440 crunches and 610 q's with 800 floors and weighed in at 182.

As I was leaving the gym I walked to my car in the pouring rain. Folks, I was already wet with perspiration and that rain praise Jesus was as cold as it comes. It felt so good as the humidity dropped along with the temperature!

Day 1608 Another neat number.

So is 2304 when your wearing three layers of clothing in this incredible heat. I burned 1142 in the first 30 minutes then I burned 1162 in the second thirty minutes and it took a great effort to break 2300 today. I know I can burn more calories if I wear less clothing I just do not want to.

My exercise routine was interrupted today so I did a plank first. I did a 12 minute plank which is the longest I have done in about 1200 days ago. Then I did 350 killers and 500 crunches then 570 q's then 40 chin ups and 800 floor crunches.I weighed in at 184 which was surprising weight.I ate a lot of fruit and almonds yesterday and drank a lot of seltzer. My intention was to stay ahead of of the heat which was oppressive.

Day 1607 Now we head for some sticky WEATHER.

It was 77 degrees at  445 am. I burned 2298 calories wearing three layers( 2 t shirts and a sweat shirt) I did 61 chin ups and 8 minutes of plank with 340 killer crunches and 440 crunches and 540 q crunches.800 floor crunches and I weighed in at 182. I just missed burning 2300 in the hour.I was a challenge getting back into the chin,plank and crunch mode.

Day 1606 On with the show ....

It is  time for a workout then the fifth show for yours truly, PSU mess will be discussed.I fun afternoon in Yankee land despite the loss.

Had a good amount of energy as I slept for a good 5 hours. Five hours was two more than last Sunday. Burned more today than yesterday as I burned 2318 today.Weight 182.

Day 1605 Yankee Stadium!

But first a good cardiovascular  work out. I know what you are going to say but I want to hear it from you. I want to listen to the tone of your voice your choice of the words.When you consider your ability to deliver the information it gives me a certain feeling of certainity.

Yes, at times folks we just enjoy the precision of the information.

Now, we go into the gym and do a workout prior to.

a short but good work  out burned 2314 then off to Yankee Stadium II for the third time since it open Weighed in at 183. No double this weekend streak stops at seven.

Day 1604 Work is on tap for this day after a workout.

The day that never seemed to end. I got up yesterday at 410 am and went to sleep at 2 am today. Then I got up at 545 am today.Why? That is a good question. Gee, you must have done a lot of things in the 22 hours you were up. Yeah, I did and one of things I did was miss manage my time. As written in my Day 1605 blog I worked out. Then, I went to work, where I worked hard. Then I got home showered and went to an out concert around 7  pm until 10:15 pm. Then I ate and watched highlights and an encore showing of the Yankees game. Then, finally I went to bed at 2 am. I missed managed about three hours of sleep.

At 645 am I got on the machine and burned 2253 calories. Then I did 40 82 pound assisted chin ups and 11 minutes of plank. With 370 killer crunches and 450 crunches and 920 q's.Then I finished with 800 floor crunches. I ate late and weighed in at 184. I wish I had more time and energy to do a long hard cardiovascular workout!

Day 1603 More fun!

As my work yesterday was steady and at times rigorous I was able to sustain the energy and rested good at night.When I awoke I was refreshed and energized.

I did a great 2312 burn and 80 chin ups and 10 minutes of plank.I believe I am getting stronger and belief is a huge factor.I did 330 killers and 510 crunches and 600 q's. Nine hundred floors and weighed in at 181. Not surprising considering the activity from yesterday.

I hope this the end of this root canal business.It cost me 16 hours of sick time.

Day 1600 Oh my

What a day a refreshing reprieve. The heat is on hold for a while. With a good burn of 2313 in 60. A 71 chin up and 11 minute plank. A crunch fest I did 340 crunches, 450 crunches and 710 q's. 800 floors. Weight 183.

To reach 1600 days in a row of doing an hour of hard cardio and to do 54  days of two hours of hard cardio means that you have to sell out. You have to be  more than involved you have to be committed.Your mind has to be set on your daily objective. It must become who you are not what you do.

I know I sound a little authoritative but this just what I found out.

Day 1598 Wow---

A very sound sleep, as the air conditioner hummed for the first time all day this year. Always strange, as I woke having no idea what the air is like outside. Thus starts the 24 hours of work out then, prep for the show then, sleep then, work out then, the show then, work then, sleep.

Now it is work out time. No church this week( a picnic and a long sleep) for the first time in over a month. However, will read a passage and pray on it.

Now we work out - The weekly double? I do believe I have a once a week streak going. Yep, six straight weeks of doing a double at least once a week. We go for seven today ....

Chalk up another double! Burned 4529 in 120 minutes.
Now, you should have seen me go. As I did 71 chin ups and 4 minutes of plank and 270 killers a 330 crunch. and 510 q's and 700 floors and weighed in at 180.

I very hot day and a cooler front of cooler air approaches.

Day 1596 only four days from 1600- ETA- Tuesday July 10TH 2012.

What a weird week=www.?



  1. blasted in the chest
  2. password mix up/ lost and found card
  3. crown shifts and is pressing right on nerve in mouth
Had a good challenge yesterday, after an emergency partial root canal I was pretty much non mobile the rest of the day.

Today, I jumped right back on the horse.Enjoyed a diet of soft foods. Slept soundly.Got up with some discomfort but, went to the gym and worked out hard. A 2271 burn in 60.50 chin ups, whew that was a battle.Seven minutes of plank.200 killers,350 crunches and 500 q's and 800 floor crunches. Weight 184.

The procedure from yesterday has me taking penicillin 2 times a day. I cannot remember the last time I took any medicine.Since there is an open wound in my mouth I suppose any thing that will help prevent infection would be useful.


It felt so good to work out.It is a challenge to explain but, it is like a push you get when you  are on a swing or when you are sled riding and you feel the rush as you go down the hill. However, it is even better than that because you are the driving force.It is your energy and effort that gives you that whoosh!

Day 1595 Maybe the dentist should take a look.

I have not experienced dental discomfort like this in awhile. It comes and goes. However, when it comes it feels like something has grabbed the tooth and is squeezing it really hard. I woke up with it today so now I know I need to visit the dentist soon.

I did my usual 410 am wake up call and got to the gym around 445 and then was able to do a traditional workout.I suppose while most of the people wake up to coffee and breakfast I choose to wake up to going for a great hard workout.

Case in point, I burned 2257 calories in the hour and did 44 chin ups and seven minutes of plank. I also crunched 330 killers and 440 crunches and 500 q's. I did 700 floors. Weight? 183.

Now, the dentist then work or no dentist, no work or dentist no work or no dentist then work. Either way, I want this tooth to stop bringing me pain.Better still, I want this tooth to be calm and relaxed.

A nice refreshment from the current status.

Day 1594 As we are only six away here on the 4TH of JUUUUU..........LYE as they say it down south.

Here is a coincidence day 1594 in on July 4 in the year 2012. The gym opens at 7 am I need to be in work at 9am on this odd holiday. I have worked plenty of Holidays but, I believe for the last July 4TH I worked.  So this is my second in a row.Oh well, lets roll.My tooth is sore and lately it has been hurting me.I believe I will go to the dentist tomorrow. If I realize it is not as bad as Tom Hanks ' dental procedure( in Castaway) I will be all right.

The day begins now in the rain!Got on the fabled machine at 641 am and got off after burning 2292 calories in an hour. Weight 183. Off to work.Second day of the week no chins,plank,& crunches.

Here on lunch break adding a few notes. Hard believe its been less than a year since I started my daily arc trainer work out. Life is good as my body continues to meet the challenges.

What about the bruised bone you got on Monday 7/2/12?

I am psyched thinking the prospects of doing a great radio show. Stay tuned as my time is coming.

Day 1593 Warm with low humidity?

Yes! A break in the humidity temps to hover around 80 to to 85. As I completed my 6TH hour of cardio today at 557am. Since Saturday, at 936 am that is a total of 68 hours and 20 minutes. That is an average of one hour of cardio every 10.8 hours for 3 days. I burned 2278 calories in the hour and did a strong 10 minutes of plank and 63 chin ups.My killers were at 330, 430 on crunches while I did 630 q's with 800 floors.
My weight was at 184.

Day 1591 Another double?

Two doubles back to back in this heat? Well, I was not moving fast the second time around. But heck, just SHOW UP AND FIGHT!

I worked out 2 hours and six minutes.I even switched machines to try to burn more calories. I burned at a slower pace than yesterday but still did burn 4620 calories and do 51 chin ups with 10 minutes of plank and 430 killers and 520 crunches and 700 q's and 800 floors. I weighed in at 179.
