Day 1468 The illumination of 1500 is in the horizon

We whaled on the cardio as we burned more yesterday than today--AGAIN--. 2348 with a good kick at the end. Cut short my chin ab workout. But, I did do 20 assisted chin ups with the assistance lowered to 94 pounds! Did a 100 killers, 110 crunches, 120 q's,600 floors and 2 minutes up and 2 minutes down on the plank.

My late departure from the house this morning was the reason for my shorter workout.Bummer.

They have already ordered early dismissal at the schools as a wintry mix is on its way.

Day 1469 Day 1 of March and the start of the 49TH month.

Day 1467 We are psyched and ready for this day!

Well, I guess we hit a new bench mark. 1001 posts.I like this bench mark a little better.Since June 19,2009 I have not missed a day of posting on this blog. Yep, on day 483 I started this workout blog and I done everyday since.How many consecutive days is that? A total of 984 days without a break.

Today I had a strong cardio as I burned more today in the hour than yesterday. Today my was 2339 in the hour where yesterday my burn was 2319 in the hour. I did not increase my other exercises though. Did 20 chin ups but I did diminish the assistance from 108  to 100. I did 200 killers,350 crunches and 430 q's. My plank was a good 4 minutes down and then a 2 minute up. My floor crunches were a solid 800. I again weighed in a t 182.

My diet is really simple fruits vegetables and whole grains as over the last two years I have been on a vegan diet. I seem to maintain good health as I make it a practice to push myself as hard as I can everyday. I am committed to a plan and I feel great that I do stick to it.

Day 1466 We should hit 1500 on April 1ST!

I feel a little different today. As yesterday was a completion of two two hour workouts in back to back days. My goal right now is to two hour workouts on the weekend. I love those workouts. My body just feels so good when I push myself through those 2 hours or more. Monday is sort of a relaxing workout when you consider the challenge of the previous two days.

I always seem to feel a little more wound up on Sunday and Sunday night.Today on Monday I got up at 410 am. Got on the machine at 455 am and did a short 2319 calorie burn in sixty minutes followed by a slight variation of my assisted chin up where I used 108 pounds of assistance rather than 112. I did 30 chin ups, 330 killers,450 crunches,500 q's 800 floors with added weight. Also 4 minutes of up planks and 4 minutes of down planks. Weight 182.

Day 1465 Yesterday, was 25TH double today, we go for 26 !

Well done, as we breeze though a great 2 hour and five minute cardio  workout. I increased my time by one minute today. We burned only 4630 calories. I decided to lessen my assistance on the chin up and still did 20. I attacked the crunches by doing 300 killers,450 crunches, 500 q's. I did 4 minutes of up plank and 3 minutes of down plank and 800 floor crunches. My entire day off workout lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. I weighed in at 180.

So strange, I just love it that I have the energy to pound out a vigorous work out. I also love it that I use the energy and do an awesome workout every single day.

Day 1464 I do work at night as I go for the daily double!

It is 630 the gym opens at 7 am.There is a cold wind ripping through the area. The objective is simple do 2 hours and 4 minutes. I would like to think, mentally it is done deal. This is a different schedule as I prepare for work which I need to be at in 10 and a half hours.

The day sets up for a good challenge. As I stand here by the computer typing away while the car warms up.

Here I go....
O---kay, after 2 hours and four minutes the Cybex arc trainer said I burned 4741 calories---O--kay! While I set up the settings it asks for your weight. for about 650 straight days I was putting in my weight plus about 10 pounds. A couple of months ago I decided to put the weight on the highest setting. I noticed it created more resistance. Once I felt more resistance I just assumed it was a better workout.So my calorie burn soared to much higher numbers and I can feel my legs getting stronger.

I chose to keep going after my incredible 2 hour 4 minute burn. I decided on 22 chin ups,300 killers,330 crunches 450 q's and 800 heavy floor( I added more weight) then 4 minute up and a 2 minute down.I weight in add a nice 178.

Day 1465 Yesterday, was 25TH double today, we go for 26 !

Day 1463 Were just roll Lin!

You know, every day we pay a price, and usually we get what we pay for. Even before any sort of currency was ever created people paid a price for everything. A caveman was paid for being ever mindful of every step he took each day.His price was being mindful and his pay was his life.

We all pay a price for everything we do.I believe it is as simple as all that.The bible says it best when it asks this question.What is the profit of a man, who wins the world but, loses his soul? The price is his soul and the pay is the world.

We all need to take a look at the price we are paying and realize that it is that price that is determining our pay. We are paying in installments and at the end what will we have?

Today as the snow flew and I awoke to a very white start. I went to the half empty gym and did a; 2285 calorie burn and a 33 chin up, 360 killer,360 crunch,450 q, 800 floor with a 4 minute plank workout. I again, weighed in at 181.

Am I being greedy or just fired up now that I hit a big milestone? Either way, I feel awesome as we go through a short streak of mild  weather .

Burned 2280, 33 chin ups, 360 killers,500 crunches,600 q's,900 floors ad 4 minutes down.

Day 1461 This is it, FOUR YEARS.Mom's birthday.

Mom, we miss you terribly,may God grant you eternal rest.It will be 12 years in May.We have missed you everyday since. 

Four years is the same amount of time my Dad served in World War II for the United States Army. I feel closer to my parents today for having completed this past four years.

Its funny, I remember distinctly when Obama was campaigning for his presidency I had just started my daily work outs. It seems like yesterday.

Today, I got back up to speed as I burned 2330 calories in the hour. I felt great pounding out 40 chin ups and 600 q's and  400 killers, 700 crunches with 4 minutes up and 2 down on the plank. No time for floors. I sweated good and weighed in at 180.

 Day 1462 -Now, we attack 1,500 on our way to five years.

I started stiff but managed to loosen up as I went along.

The challenge we all face, if we wish to become better, is to make a lifestyle change.A shift in the way we go about our day.

 I feel revitalized. Do we have a war on poverty or a war versus not trying to be our best? If we are not at our best how will we win the war on poverty? If we are not trying to be our best, is it fair to ask why?

As we stride out the door the weather is good and we are ready for a good cardio then work.

Mission accomplished did cardio for sixty then off to work. God bless, the doors opened at 645am. It helped I was there at 639 am.

Day 1457 Wow, we are getting close

No.What a workout. I wore a t shirt,heavy shirt and two heavy sweat shirts.One of the sweat shirt's  was a hoodie and for 15 minutes I wore the hood.I did a two hour and two minute cardio workout where I burned 4647 calories.

Then I did 35 chin ups,360 killers,460 crunches,630 q's,4 minutes up and two minutes down planks and 800 floors.
I weighed in at 177. I replenished my fluids with 2 quarts of a mix of orange juice and seltzer. Now, I have no appetite.

Day 1458 we are up early and get the gym then work.

Day 1456 Lin sanity!

How sweet it to have so much energy and due an awesome workout at 442 in the am.

Burned 2314 and did , get this, did 41 chin ups, 350 killers,450 crunches, 610 q's, 900 floors, 4 minutes up planks, 4 minutes of down plank. Weighed in at 182. Felt amazing.

Day 1455 Here we are!

As I rush off I just wanted to splash some information.

(How different it is to be in your house and have to go without using your kitchen, Every move needs to be planned as you go from the living room to the cellar to the outside to the garage to the house to the refrigerator in the family room.
Thank God the kitchen will be available in a few hours.)

Good day sunshine. Burned 2330 in sixty minutes and headed out after a good stretch. Need to get set for new kitchen floor. AS we weighed in at 182 a far distance from last week's 187. Who knows maybe the scale is off?

Day 1453 Happy Valentine's Day we are in hot pursuit of four years!

My four year date with Valentine's Day is here. Yep, I have dating this routine daily for 1453 days. Whoa, that is all the way through high school or college or a presidential term. Geez!

Had fun today as I felt fresh and very much alive.The burning totaled 2355 and 35 chin up,350 killers,450 crunches,610 q's,3 minutes of up planks and 2 minutes of down planks. Then I ended with 800 floors. Weighed in at 183.

We compete because we love it. I sense that not many people really enjoy their workout. If that is true what shame.

Day 1452 Back to a normal workout.

Felt great.Surprised? No matter. Burned 2350 then did 30 chin ups, 330 killers, 430 crunches, 500 q's. Then 800 floors. Now something knew with the plank. 2 minutes up. 2 minutes down. That is an excellent challenge.

Day 1451 Ten days to the official four years.

Up early the motor is running. Gym work home.Post to follow.

We cannot under state the effort. Up at 5am out of the house at 6 am. Driving 1 hour to get to the gym. Then, working out for 1 hour then getting ready to work. Working from 830 to 4pm.

No time for anything else as the gym opens at 7 and I need to be in by 830.

Day 1450 as we go for the daily double!

The answer is.... the daily double, and add 4 layers of clothing. The finished product? 4,688 calories burned in 2 hours and one minute. With 20 chin ups, 270 killers, 330 crunches, 430 q's, 800 floors and 4 minutes of plank. Then, weighed in at 179. Alright, I beat 180! Now, if you think that was easy, you got another thing coming.

We will be challenged, which is good. The stronger the breeze the stronger the trees.

Day 1448 We are getting so close and technically I have done over four years of workouts! (1472)

These just numbers my fingers are putting down. This effort derived from sweat and energy and sacrifice. For the last fours I have gotten my body to do something I am grateful for. I have slugged through season after season day after ache or no ache to reach a point were I am excited about the next workout.

I can see many point of views. The one that is most obvious is to the one that is the one from the uninitiated the one where the first thought is why? What is the reason to do all that? Okay , that thought has crossed my mind? Then, when I go about defining all that I get my answer and I look at it from this point of view. All that is something that can not be explained. So all that is simply  really incomprehensible.
Unless. Unless what? Unless you have attempted to do it.

Today I felt awesome as I did burn 2350 an hour and did do 35 chin ups,350 killers,450 crunches,600 q's,800 floors and 4 minutes of plank. I sweated and tried real hard to complete each task. I weighed in at 183.

Day 1447 we are inside of two weeks!

Today I sprang out of bed and hustled to the gym and had fun while burning 2373 calories in the hour. I did 33 chins,330 killers,430 crunches and 570 q's I finished with 800 floors and 4 minutes of plank. I weighed in at 187 which hard to understand.

It feels great to be in shape and I thank good for having the strength to continue this awesome streak.

Day 1446 we get back to a more normal schedule.

As we awoke at 411 am and headed to the gym and blasted out a 2340 calorie burn and did 30 chin up,270 killers and 350 crunches, 450 q's with 800 floors and 4 minutes of plank  then we weighed in at a strange 189.  I felt awesome.

As we had into the next two weeks to get to 1460 days.

Day 1447 we are inside of two weeks!

Day 1445 The revelery!

Ah glow and the sheer bliss. The unbridled joy. The feeling that our team did it! Wow what feeling. The hours click by and the vision remains stamp in our minds. The big pass threw far down the field  falling hopelessly to the field turf inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

I did a strong workout on an extra hours rest as we burned 2407 calories in an hour and weighed in at 182. As I went about my business of the day I wanted to get a piece of what happened so I purchased a hoodie and a t-shirt.

Day 1443 5000 in 2!

Today we attempted to pick up where we left off the week before last. It was Day 1429 as the snow flew I blasted 4680 in 2 hours. As I recall it felt stupendous.

Similar to today as I burned a robust 4700 in 2 hours and did 20 chin ups, 200 q's 300 killers and 350 crunches with 800 floors and 3 minutes of plank. Wow, a little whoozie but, happy.

Day 1442 The Friday before the Super Bowl!

I must admit I am totally caught up in the Super Bowl. After although, it was the Giants winning the Super Bowl and their ability to defeat opponents that had seemingly better teams than they did at the start of the playoffs, which helped in my desire to get into better shape both mentally and physically.

My workout today was great. I burned 2285 in 60 and did 300 killers, 380 crunches, 450 q's, 800 floors and 4 minutes of plank. I weighed in at 184.

Tomorrow with the Good Lord willing I hope to do two hours and burn over 5000 calories.

Day 1441 Wow I feel better!

When you have fought hard to get your momentum going and feeling it again and some where at some time you are hit with a (PI) you have to recoil and determine your next moves. Such was the case today as my usual 1,2,3 was jumbled into a 3, 1, 2.

I did 2322 in 60. And 300 killers,400 crunches then the jumble ensued  800 floors 3 minutes of plank and 500 q's. Weighed in at 185.

Day 1440 back and better than ever!

We are on our way toward 1460.Apparently our date of arrival will not be exactly as planned. It is funny that the 1460TH day from February 23RD 2008 is not exactly four years. It looks like the 1462ND day will be four years.

Burned 2328 in sixty. Did 25 chin ups, 270 killers,350 crunches and 500 q's with 800 floors and 3 minute plank.The weigh in at, 185.
