Day 1713 A quick workout turn around will be in order!

He we go, some semblance of normalcy.Up at 410 am in the dark scrambled out of the house.Did my second 2400+ calorie burn in 60 minutes for the second time in 13 hours. Wow.

Did another round of the circuit also weighed in at 183.

Day 1714 The power is back on!

Day 1712 The day after the storm.

There was some serious fallout from this storm. I have bee without power for while. Oddly enough, I was ready to go to the gym when the power went out at 420 am on Tuesday 10/30/12.Instead of going to the gym which was closed or doing a workout in the dark at home. I decided to go to work. I punched in at 544am and worked right through with no break until 130 pm I was ready to work until two and go home or check to see if the gym had reopened but, I was asked to punch out for lunch.

As fate would have i went to the gym and had reopened I did my workout at 330 pm a great 2449 calorie burn in 60 minutes. I felt awesome I had no power so I showered at the gym and returned to a dark houseI went to bed at 815 pm.

Day 1711 Workout, show, work and storm.

No gym workout as they closed for the day due to the weather. There was no show today because they closed the studio due to the weather. There was no work today due to the weather.

I rode the stationary bike for an hour while shadow boxing. That was today's workout as I was left with only a few options. Hey, I did an hour workout despite the conditions the streak LIVES!

I will workout tomorrow in the gym if the gym is open.

Now, I suppose we will count the hours until the storm hits and we hope the power stays on.

Day 1710 Work out church reading and day off

I feel an awesome rush of emotion as I  ready for the day.I up earlier than normal on a Sunday. I am preparing for workout and then church.Time up 530 now it is 630 am.

A big storm is due in called Sandy. As the whole area braces and I mean braces for its arrival.

Day 1709 No double workout and work.

Lets do it! In work by 1045, have 4 hours to w/o then get there. Will leave house around 955 it is now 645. Three hours left on the clock.Its go time.


I did it another 2404 calorie burn in sixty minutes. This time, I needed 445 calories burned in the last 10 minutes. It took a huge push at the end.Thanks to the strength of the Lord it was done.

Day 1708 More power to you!

Sober reflection. A good time an evaluation of myself. I am disappointed in my reaction my Yankees losing.I thought I would be able to handle my disappointment better.I am determined to accomplish several projects in the coming days. I was a little put out yesterday because of my soreness and stiffness in my daily toil activity. I am in deed committed to improving on any limits I may have set up for myself yesterday.

I made great strides today as I did my best Billy Mills impersonation and ended my workout with a great kick. The Lord once blessed me when I was very young with a great imagination. I used to love to use my imagination in athletic endeavors. I would pretend I was the great athlete performing the heroic achievement.
Today, I was blessed again with that skill. As I saw myself as Billy Mills in the 1964 Olympics.

Day 1706 Didn't something historical happen in 1706?

There you go Mr Franklin was born. He is the man who was once asked if you were given 4 hours to chop down a tree what would you do? He said I would spend three hours sharpening the axe. When asked why he replied because a man can only be as effective as the instrument is using.

In this case it was the axe. In life, it is how sharp we are and how well we are running that will determine how far we will go.


I was determined to burn more calories today than the day before. I burned 4 more calories than the day before. Awesome. I was also intrigued to try a new exercise.One my body had tried before but failed to do.This time in addition to my usual circuit, I did a side ways plank. Where I turned on my side and used my elbow to support myself. I held myself there for a minute.

Day 1705 Back to the regular workout, cool!

I know when I am tired but yesterday I was so wiped out I almost felt like I was inebriated but I drudged on. It was a full day.I slept from 1130 pm to 3 am. Three and half hours just was not enough. Plus I worked very hard at the daily toil.

So when 5 pm came around I was ready to go.

I pride my self on stamina so I felt weird having to slug out the last 45 minutes of the day.


I woke up at 411 and was on the machine by 5 am burning 2353 in the hour and putting together a strong circuit.

Day 1704 I challenge myself everyday today, will be no different.

I got up at 3 am and felt refreshed I got on the machine at 413 and burned 2389 calories in the hour .Then went to the studio and did the radio show.I weighed in at 184. I feel awesome.

Day 1703 A day off, and now we chose how to spend it.

I chose to sleep until 930 am which gave me 9 1/2 hours of delicious rest. Then I went to the gym and did a good 2400 calorie burn in 60 minutes and weighed in at 186. I cut short my gym time because I wanted to mow the lawn. I chose to mow the front lawn and then I watched my beloved NY Giants beat the Washington Redskins then I mowed the back lawn. I felt great and am psyched for the show tomorrow at 6 am.

Day 1704 I challenge myself everyday today, will be no different.

Day 1702 A double?

I believe as I stand here on this overcast morning with the sun or what visible sign we will have of  it about to rise we  will begin to except the challenge of a double as I need to be ready to leave for work around noon.
I sense but am not clear that a double would be totally exhilarating.

The  addicted gambler gets a high from their activity that usually is rated  on a scale of one to ten as an eight to a nine. While their other activities in their life rate a three to a four on the scale of making them high. Is this true? I am not sure but I would imagine there is a big gap between the power of gambling has versus the power of other activities has over their life. There must be, because why else would they be willing to risk it all for the high of the gamble. Another point is clear, it is the process not the result the addicted one enjoys. In reality, he does not care if he wins or loses.

This leads me to my quest. I to love the process of working out everyday and enjoy the result at the same time. I have a long term goal as well as short term goals. I consider what I do both a mental and physical challenge which I embrace. There is something amazing that happens when..... you know what I mean.

Today, we did our  65TH DOUBLE!As we burned 4582 calories in 120 minutes.And capped off our adventure by--

I believe if I had more time before I went to work for the day I would workoout 3 hours a day. I would do 2 hours of cardio and circuit training.

Day 1701 we march to get that number below 100. days until 5 years!

Here is a neat thought. When I reach day 2013 we will be in the year 2013. The day will be 187 days from 2/23/13. Pretty neat, huh? It will be the 241st day of year 2013.September 7, 2013 I will be at 2013.I will had passed all the years.So in 312 days we will be there.GOOD LORD WILLING.

Today I fought for every inch and burned 2323 calories in the hour. Then I really stepped it up after the pull ups. I felt very flexible.

Day 1700 Throw me no roses, as I am doing my all to get to 1800 days!

It is now 3:46 pm lunch time. I usually post at breakfast time. Today, makes it 4 years and 239 days since I took a day off from doing a 60 minute cardiovascular work out. A total of 1700 days. I am 126 shy of 1826 days which will equal five years. I have done a total of 1764 work outs of 60 minutes or more.

Today, I burned 2339 calories in the hour.I am working haard to get back to the magical number of 2400 calories per hour. Today, I also

Day 1699 Yesterday, did you help at least one person see the benefit of working out?

No. I will do it today! Feeling stronger I had my first day on my feet all day in about 10 days. I burned 2333 in the hour which was more than yesterday,

Day 1698 I am psyched for the challenge workout then work!

Step one ;done! Burned 2320 know this is the machine I have done about 1000 workouts on. The one I used yesterday was a different one and it easier to get a higher calorie count.Did I just say 1000 wor out on? yeah, in about 950 days.

I am not one to get full of myself I know what I am doing is just a fraction of what millions of others have done. My challenge is to be confident enough to know that what I have done and am doing can help millions of other people. I need to establish some effective way to get that message out.

Day 1695 Me, you and Precor eliptical

The weather has turned a little cool here but,  I am happy as a lark as the Yanks sang their way  to to ALCS.

Despite having more libations than I have in quite sometime.I did a 940 calories burn in sixty minutes. It felt great. However, I wanted to crank out a great challenge and I thought I was after I set the resistance to 20 and manual for the entire sixty minutes. I guess I must getting accustomed to the movements because I was able to do the workout and my heart rate did not go up.

I hunted and peck for the incline sit up bench and did 340 killers and 450 crunches and 300 floor crunches and 7 minutes of plank with 20 assisted pull ups.

Weight 178.. Only one more workout to go in town. Then, its back to the familiar local.

Day 1694 Let us hit the Precor and see if we can burn 1000 an hour.


 Woke up at 630 am and shut the alarm as I used today as a catch up on sleep day. This week which is a vacation week I have given myself less sleep than I do on a work week.So today, I chose to sleep an extra hour.

I didn't burn a 1000 in an hour but, I beat yesterday's number by burning 940 calories in the hour. My heart rate was not as high as I mistakenly put in the wrong amount of resistance I thought I put in 18 but instead put in 14 which was not as difficult as yesterday's workout where I had a heart of 130 for the hour's average.  I did not notice my error until there were three minutes left in the hour.I boost my resistance to 20 for the last three minutes to challenge myself further.

Today, I found an assist pull up machine and did 10 90 pound assisted pull ups. This machine was different from the other one back in the other gym because the machine positions you on your knees rather than your feet. I did 340 killers and 450 crunches and 200 floor crunches and 4 minutes of plank. My weight was 180.
It was a tremendous work out and I enjoyed it immensely.

Now, the weekend schedule kicks in as the doors open at 8 am

Day 1693 The seat was rough yesterday, I may have to use the Precor eliptical today.

I did use Precor Eliptical and got a great workout. I burned 870 in and hour and averaged 130 as a heart rate. I did 330 killers and 440 crunches. I did a 7 minute plank and I did 200 quasi floor crunches. My weight was 178.

The Browns vs Cincinnati on Sunday? Looks like a good possibility. As we conclude day 3's road trip workout I realize mixing up the workouts is a great challenge.

Day 1694 Let us hit the Precor and see if we can burn 1000 an hour.

Day 1692 My goal is to get back to hard cardio and hard circuit and a good stretch!

A phenomenal workout, as I did the Life Cycle for the second straight day. I measured my heart rate and I was a steady 136 - 140 for most of the sixty minutes.I burned about 750 calories and was challenged as I set the machine to 18 on a scale of 25.What a rush.

Today, was my first day of a weekly membership a Fitness Works. I hunted around for some circuit equipment to work out on and found an incline sit up bench and a good stretch machine and area.
I did a 4 minute plank and a 270 killers and 330 crunches. There was no assisted pull up bar and no quantum machine. I weighed in at 178. I am sitting here relaxing and it feels very vacation like.

I prepared a little for my reading on October 28TH.I belief we will attendind the Pro Football Hall of Fame this afternoon.

Day 1691 as we workout at fitness works.

Well, slight change of plans traq was the venue today. I worked with my sister and brother in law. At a training facility in Avon, Ohio.-

TRAQ Performance Institute where I used a Life Cycle for the first time in over 500 days.

It was a great workout as I was able to challenge myself and worked very hard to burn 750 calories in the hour.Which is rather incredulous when you consider that I was at the highest random level on the machine for one hour. My weight per a different scale was 180.

 A slight stretch but for the second straight day no abdominals and chin up or plank. Tomorrow I do plan on doing an awesome workout.

Day 1692 My goal is to get back to hard cardio and hard circuit and a good stretch!

Day 1688 Geez, these numbers are huge!

What an awesome workout! I did not burn 2400 + in either hour but I did burn 4601 calories in 2 hours as I completed my 65TH and ran my total 60 minute cardio workout to 1753 workouts.SaWeet!

Day 1687 We are going to get some sleep and wake up refreshed and limber!

I allowed my plans for a great night of rest to get shorten to a good night of rest.I also allowed my fatigue to get the better of me. I was tired and for some reason became irritable and had an out burst of emotions I did not want to have.

I got up at 411 got on the machine at 450 and burned by the strength of the Lord 2404 calories as I pushed very hard for the last few calories. I have only missed 2400+ calories twice since Day 1641.

Day 1686 Where are the Yanks heading?

As they win and I witness their next game will be in Texas or in Baltimore they will play the winner of the 1st ever wild card play in game in the history of the MLB. Buoyed last night's excitement I did a great 2410 calorie burn in sixty today despite an extremely active day at the daily toil.

I had less sleep than I should have but I was so excited I could not get to bed. My daily was noteworthy because of how much I did. I "put away" over 40 major appliances. If you know what I mean by put away lets just think about this.. the go on an 8 to 16 foot shelf. I put away 3 pallets of paint.I put away 5 windows.I never took a break except for lunch and I stopped work at 552 pm.

Day 1685- Now we march our course towards my first vacation since Day 1208= 480 days.

Big Day! Big Day! As we blast out a sweet 2414 calorie burn in sixty in which there was no quit in me today.Praise the LORD. Today, we see ourselves as a mere fifteen days shy of 1700! How astonishing this all is. Just less than six months from five years.The total days for five will be 365x 4+ 366= 1826.Only 141 days from 5 years.

I am now almost 92 percent of the way to 5 years. If this was an hour's ride I would only five minutes from my destination.

Day 1684 Back to all the fun stuff, how did you hold up with such little rest?

I held good yesterday as I tried my best to keep as active as I could .It felt great to finally hit the pillow at 915 pm. I was challenged when I got up but as usual I never had any thought of retreat. I was determinred to shake off any stiffness and move forward.

I burned only 2388 in sixty.In only the second time in 43 days I have now burned less than 2400 calories in an hour. I got back to the circuit by;

As we head towards the daily toil, we burn 2444 calories in sixty minutes and then do a radio show. Awesome, as we move forward on a brief rest less than 3 hours.Sprinkle in two showers and a great workout.
